Latest equipments/ machines used at Max Hospital to treat different cardiac conditions:

Angiography System:

Angiography System

An Angiography or arteriography is a medically virtual technique which can be used to imagine the inner, or lumen of the blood vessels and also organs of body, with mostly interested in the arteries, heart chambers and the veins. This machine works with injecting a radio-opaque alternate agent inside the blood vessel and visualizing using X-ray based techniques called as fluoroscopy.

Pacemaker:

Pacemaker

A pacemaker is a tiny machine like device which is placed in the abdomen or chest in order to help to control abnormal heart beats. As this device uses electrical pulses to make heart beat normal. Specially, Pacemakers are used to do the treatment of arrhythmias (Pronounce as ah-RITH-me-ahs). Arrhythmias are the problem in heart related to heartbeat.

CRT Device:

CRT Device

Arrhythmias are abnormality in heart rhythms and can be caused due to various reasons, like age, heart damage, medications and genetics. In critical heart failure patients CRT, or biventricular pacing, is used to help improvement in the heart’s rhythm and the symptoms related with the arrhythmia. The procedure includes implanting a pacemaker of half-dollar sized, usually just below the collarbone. Three wires (leads) connected to the device monitor the heart rate to calculate heart rate abnormalities and release tiny pulses of electricity to correct them. In result, it is "resynchronizing" the heart.
