Angioplasty in India

Angioplasty in India is a non-surgical procedure to clear or unblock the narrowed or blocked arteries which are the reasons for chest pain or heart attacks. This is done in the cardiac catheterization laboratory or cath-lab by Interventional Cardiologists who insert a catheter through a wire into the narrowed blood vessels. Then the balloon is inflated to a fixed size expanding the vessel and then deflated and withdrawn. This procedure takes about one to three hours for completions.

Angioplasty is one of the most common heart procedures done today. It is estimated that every year 300,000+ angioplasties are done in India. Fill up the consultation form to book an instant appointment with the Best cardiologists in India for Affordable price angioplasty in India.

Angioplasty Benefits in India

According to the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, angioplasty performed for the heart attack treatment saves lives as it is an efficient way to get blood flowing to the heart again quickly. The sooner the doctor restores the blood supply the less damage there will be to the heart muscle. It also relieves chest pain and may prevent shortness of breath and other symptoms related to a heart attack. It may also cut the odds that you could need more invasive open-heart bypass surgery that requires significantly longer recovery time. As per the U.K. National Health Service, angioplasty may lower the risk of another heart attack and may also increase your chances of survival more than clot-busting medications.
